Hello. I’m Jo. Welcome to my website. As a qualified and very experienced primary school teacher and, latterly, Headteacher, I have always taken a great deal of time and trouble to plan thoroughly for lessons. Part of this process, for me, has always taken the form of visual learning slides full of colour and images to interest and engage the children. I have shared these with colleagues, who have appreciated them because they are extremely detailed and time saving – a real necessity for time poor teachers. Now that I have left the classroom, I want to share all of the hard work I have put into lesson planning and continue to build on what I have already produced. My hope is that, by using my planning resources, teachers’ time will be freed up to enable them to spend more time on lesson preparation – exciting ways to deliver lessons, rather than spending too much time worrying about the content.
For more than two decades, I have been a primary school teacher. I am currently having a career break to pursue other interests, undertake a masters degree in educational psychology and develop my website, before returning to work in the primary school sector in 2020. Since 2014, when the new curriculum came into play, I had been teaching Year 4. Therefore, many of my slides are appropriate for this year group. However, most are transferable and can be easily adapted for other years across Key Stage 2. I am also expanding on my current repertoire and within a year should have a full spectrum of plans for Key Stage 2. Eventually, I want to develop resources for Key Stage 1.
I'd love to hear from you
